Welcome to bloogum, the creative home of Annarti and hopefully a lot more active than the last one. The domain is here primarily to hold anything pertaining to the Yrae Chronicles and its feature story, Silent Harmony. The story has been my creative baby since the beginning of 2003, so it's only fitting that bloogum now centres around it and the world in which it lives.

I am Annarti, a 22-year-old chickadee from Adelaide, South Australia. The first story I ever wrote was in a perfumed little notebook. It was about a horse that had chickens for friends. When I read or watch something that just gets me right there, my hands start hurting. So far, three written stories have done this, and one movie. My earliest memory is from when I was 2. I remember looking down on myself as Mum cradled me in my arms after I'd fallen off a ladder and cracked my skull. Je peux parler Français. Quand les gens ce trouve, la question première est toujours, 'Est-ce tu connais des mots grossier?' ... Merde. I've been to eight countries on my travels. One of them was Tasmania.
Several days of solid work went into this current layout set, so damnit I'm going to ramble. Every single layout on bloogum right now has been made by me from scratch. I searched around the house for everything I could find that was sorta Tsyllaes-y, set them up on a plank of wood by the wall, took photos, Photoshopped them to hell and back and spent so much time coding that I was just about dreaming in code by the end of it xX They're all based on the covers of books by Joanne Harris, who's my favourite author. Suffice to say, I'm somewhat proud of this set. Touch it and you will die a horrible, fiery death.

Featuring most things I could find around the house 'from' Tsyllaes. Spot which kingdoms all the bits are supposed to have come from =D They all come from various places I've been on my travels around the world. The clay fish thing and wooden monkey are from Bali, the elephant Mum and Dad got when they went to Sri Lanka, the quails are from Singapore, forget where the coconut husk was from, and just about everything else is just stuff from home. Those keys are genuine and still functioning. They're our front door keys. I always wonder if people in ye olde times actually walked around with those things on their keyring XD

Well it had to be Raykin, didn't it? Little pewter emu, thorny devil and wombat, because it's become tradition that we get a pewter animal from everywhere we go in Australia. We have about 10 of them. I have no idea where that pot came from. The mini bottles have all been dug up from the top of the property, where it used to be a dump of sorts. We're always turning up bits of broken crockery and these tiny bottles up there. And of course, the red sand from central Australia that gets used on so many of my layouts XD
tpyo friends
It's hyooj =D Chances are you won't be able to see the whole thing, because it's made to fit my screen. Do you refresh my friends page 50 times a day? I don't think you do~ =P So yeah, this is the first flist layout to actually make use of the whole screen, wai. Kazinian look, with pretty much everything coming from the tropics, 'cept the coins. They're mostly Euros and British pounds. I love those little bags of spices =D They came from Bali, where the hotel gave us those bags as a welcoming gift <3

So gaudy and Llayan you can't believe it. More Sri Lankan elephants, a random candle whose origins I've completely forgotten, and anything I could possibly find that was shiny enough to be called Llayan. That necklace hanging down there was a present from my grandmother, who in turn got it from her grandmother =D

Dead simple and Tsaythi. More little bottles from the top of the property, and a whole lot of shells and rocks from the beach. Yep, that's all the Tsaythi-looking stuff I have. Woe =( Still, simple layout for a little-used section of the lj.
the golden thrai
Interesting piece of trivia: only three of the bottles you see there are actually beer bottles. There's a Coopers on the right, a mini!Guinness front right (the tiny one with a lid) and a Pure Blonde in the middle. The rest are all bottles of scotch, Schweppes, and the one on the left with the gold and the sticky label that wouldn't come off is a mini Moët and Chandon masquerading as a bottle of Liquid Sunset. Also, that's the wall of the bar room at home. I thought it was fitting X3

Just cos it needed one too. Somewhere in Thailand, big caves with big Buddahs in them and a little opening into the jungle =D
four-oh-four
Yeah, you'll be seeing this one a bit. Beach on Helengeli in the Maldives. I'm so glad I felt like being arty with my camera over there. I've used so many photos from that trip on layouts and desktops X3
